Sterling, Ill. (May 2009) – WAHL® PRESSING FORWARD WITH NATIONAL TELEVISION CAMPAIGN
Over the past five years, WAHL Clipper Corporation has been the dominant voice in the grooming industry and shows little sign of letting up. Adding to a portfolio of web, interactive and print efforts in 2009 is a dedicated cable television schedule. WAHL is making a concerted effort to return to national cable television with more than 3,200 spots to support retailers. The medium provides a high impact touch point with a quick-build reach to both men and women. The medium also allows WAHL to more effectively communicate the ease of home haircutting. The $10 million advertising campaign begins mid-May and continues through the end of the year. Two different TV spots will air on a variety of top cable networks in the country. One spot features WAHL’s new Lithium Ion Grooming Kit, the first ever grooming tool to harness the power of lithium ion. The other ad focuses on the ease of cutting hair at home with WAHL’s extensive line of home clipper kits. Wahl’s 2009 advertising plan, including 3,200 broadcasts of the TV spots, is anticipated to generate one billion impressions.
