WAHL will again increase its advertising budget and breadth across several channels this year to support its position as the No. 1 brand in the home clipper category, No. 1 fastest growing brand in the trimmer category, No. 1 brand in the pet clipper category and emerging massager brand.
WAHL will expand and create more penetration via a dedicated cable television schedule which includes more than 7,000 spots, a 100 percent increase from 2009. The medium will provide a high impact touch point with a quick-build reach to both men and women. Cable television allows WAHL to more effectively communicate the great results that can be achieved with home haircutting and competitive advantage of its products.
As more consumers head online to review or purchase products, the brand will be supported by a growing interactive presence and online public relations and social media outreach program. WAHL has also partnered with key consumer publications for inclusion in holiday gift guides during the Father’s Day and fourth quarter selling period, and will again hit the road with the national Wahl Trimmers Let It Grow tour during the same timeframe.
